My 3 pups love Dr. Holshouser and her staff! The atmosphere is calm and quiet, everyone always has a smile and Dr. Holshouser has always taken such great care of my pets. Hands down the best veterinary practice in Brevard, I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, caring Veterinarian.
Thanks to Dr. Ann and her staff at Riversong Vet Clinic, I have a Golden Retriever named Buffy who is 15 years old. I have had at least 380 days more with my sweet, beautiful dog than I ever thought would be possible. Dr. Ann does acupuncture on Buffy every week with so much care and compassion. Since starting her treatment with Dr. Ann, Buffy is stronger and in better condition than she was a year ago. The staff is professional and accommodating in every way.... they will even help me lift Buffy in and out of my car. I highly recommend Riversong. They are the Best of the Best.
I have a 4 year old miniature dachshund who was diagnosed with Intervertebral disc disease back in December. I was desperate to help her, but after being told by the previous vet I'd taken her to that surgery was pretty much the only hope, I was pretty discouraged. I did a lot of research and found that Riversong offered acupuncture, which I'd read had been proven in studies to help many dogs with IVDD. I started taking Roxy for treatments, and even after only 3 so far there is a noticeable difference and I haven't had to give her anymore pain medication. Dr. Ann and all the staff are so nice and helpful! I will never take her back to another vet! :) Thank you so much!!
One of my cats had steadily gained weight over about 7 years to the obesity point that he could hardly walk, much less run, play, climb, clean himself, or enjoy life. He was also pre-diabetic and approaching a danger zone. Other vets had told me he had to lose weight but never told me how. Dr. Ann is the first vet to tell me, step by step, how to accomplish this massive weight loss. She also gave me an achievable weight goal and told me how long it should take. Her protocol was simple, straight-forward, and completely doable. Over approximately one year my big boy lost 10 pounds, which was 3 pounds more than the goal. Words cannot express how grateful I am to Dr. Ann. Because of her, my 11 year old cat got a new lease on life. He runs, plays, climbs, cleans himself, has a beautiful soft coat, and enjoys life again. He still begs for more food but I keep the tough love going, feed him only twice a day, NEVER give him dry food, only use wet food with fat content under 5%, weigh him each morning, and play with him as often as possible. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Ann and Riversong. She has both traditional and homeopathic tools in her arsenal and that's the winning combination I need in a vet. I drive 90 minutes for her services and don't regret a minute of that drive.
The vet of choice in the area. It's so nice to have alternative treatments offered, even for something as simple as flea control. I have found that it is sometimes difficult to get an appointment there in emergencies though, so it might be good to have a backup.
