i wanted total auto to align my 1999 corolla, 4 wheel alignment, upon inspection they told me it needed a tie rod end, fair enough
After having my car breakdown and having towed it to Total Auto for repairs, my experience with them is 100% dissatisfied! Told me I had a hole in my radiator which they fixed and gave me back my car. Car was also leaking oil which was never addressed and took back a second time. Told me valve cover gasket's were leaking a little but owner assured me I had nothing to worry about. After topping off oil and sending me on my way again, car was still perfusely leaking oil. In fact in less than 24 hours I only had half of the oil they just topped off left! Took it back a third time with oil clearly spread all over the rear end of my car, mechanic who changed the radiator then says "Oh yeah, I forgot to write that on the paper". After talking about "reading forums" regarding trying to figure out what the problem was with my vehicle, I decided I did not want someone working on my car who does not have clear knowledge about the engine and took it to a mechanic who immediately knew and was willing to the problems asap! Come to find out, the new radiator that Total Auto just put in that cost me $400 did not even have the correct cap on it! This place is a joke! I will never step foot on their property and trust them with my vehicle problems again. I also have a friend who currently has her vehicle there and they have been giving her the same runaround as well. Think twice people before going here. We work hard for our money and to take care of our vehicles and this place is not trustworthy!
I try to find folks who will treat me right the first time I patronize their business. This is the case with Total Auto. I wouldn't take our truck or car anywhere else. The folks at Total Auto are honest and knowledgeable. They won't do work they feel are unnecessary. I've never had to take a vehicle back for the same problem. If you're not staying to wait and have to leave your vehicle, TAR&S will give you a call to let you know what's going exactly, the estimated cost and a time frame for pick up. They're usually very busy, so it might be a good idea to call ahead of time to check for the availability of the work you need.
total bill about $250 for a $75 alignment
My husband and I have taken several vehicles to be fixed by Jeremy and his staff. Each time we have been treated with fast, fair, and courteous service. We will definitely be returning to them in the future.
sadly i was in a bind, needed the car, so i let them do the repair and alignment
i can understand them missing a bad bolt, but why should i be responsible for their failure to find it during the first inspection?
i will never walk through their door again and i will tell friends of my experience
a few days later, after i had done the required repair i dropped the corolla off for the alignment, about an hour later i received a call from total auto, they told me that it needed a bolt kit in the rear to do the alignment, cost $140, AND there was another $20 inspection fee if they didn't do the repairs
i am a car guy been wrenching since i was 15, there was even a few years i made my income wrenching. total auto left a very bad taste in my mouth
i would have fixed it
Great service and great people who truly care about their customers.
i do my own auto repairs so i paid the $20 inspection fee, i asked them if all it needed was the tie rod end and they could do the alignment, they said yes, just replace the tie rod end and they could do the alignment
